WTB = Wanted to Borrow (Wanted to Buy, too, perhaps)

I would like to try a 15-inch propeller on my OMC V-6 engine, a 1992 225-HP two-stroke. I believe the optimum diameter for this would be around 15 - 15-1/4 inches. I also think a three-blade propeller would be suitable, but a four-blade would be fine, too.

What I am finding is that there are not too many propellers made in this pitch and size. Suggestions for potential propellers that would fit this description are solicited. I have tried quite a few already. So far, the bigger the diameter the better the results. Unfortunately, the 15-inch pitch MiragePlus propeller from Mercury is so large in diameter it is not a good fit on the lower unit, as it almost hits the anti-ventilation plate.

Any OMC dealers have a loaner in stock I could borrow? I have tested all the propellers at my local dealer and not found the big winner yet.

Jim, OMC made their 3-blade SST II propeller in a 15 1/2 inch diameter x 15 inch pitch size. Obviously, this will fit your motor without interference.

Powertech makes a 14 1/4 D x 15P (cupped) 4-blade propeller that might also be worthy of a test for your application.

OMC also made a 16" pitch prop that was listed under the Stern Drive product and will fit that shaft fine.
