In getting my 60hp Johnson ready for the season, I fired it up while it sits in a water tank. (Trying to not run it on the earmuffs and gardenhose, keep the noise down etc.) She starts right up, smokes a little to start with, but runs fine. but when I am done I notice large drops of oil on the water in the tub, and my lower unit is black with residue. Has anyone else experienced this? I am thinking my mix is a little oil heavy, and this is something you don't normally get to see when 'out on the water.' Si |

I guess I have never seen it like that before, always run her on the earmuff/hose. I am not that worried, it has just given me a messy lower unit to clean up.... Spend some more time with the boat eh? Thanks Si |
