I just took delivery of a 1998 17' Outrage II with a rebuilt 1998 Merc 115. Because the motor was a complete rebuild it came without a prop. I spoke with B/W and they told me the orginal package would have come with a Merc 13 1/4 X 17 aluminum prop (48-77344A45-17P). I was thinking of getting the Stiletto Bay Pro-I 4 Blade SS in 13 1/4 X 15. The Outrage seems to be faily heavy for it's size plus with 56 Gals of fuel and 3 adults onboard the 4-blades should help get it up on plane quicker. Also from what I've read/heard if you go to a 4-blade prop you should drop the pitch? Any help is greatly welcome.

According to Whaler factory performance testing data, that boat should be capable of a 40-44 MPH top speed.

A 13-1/4" x 15" Stiletto Advantage I three blade propeller would the size to get. This will perform like a 17" Mercury propeller.

I am unsure if the four blade 13-1/4" x 15" Stiletto Bay Pro I would work, but if you want to try, I can get you one for $300 delivered. The Advantage I is $225 delivered.

Please post your results as I would also like to know about a 4-Blade SS prop on a Merc 115.
