posted 10-22-2006 09:19 AM ET (US)         I have a 1969 13-foot Boston Whaler boat with 1985 Mercury without tilt/trim. I was reading with interest the discussion about hydrofoils and hydrospoilers. I then went out to see what the previous owner had mounted--a Stingray--- which I gather may not be as effective on this boat as a Doel-Fin. Any opinions? I also read about the unit at Bob's Machine Shop but was unable to locate it. Is it the unit that is listed as "True Tracker Stabilizer Plate" which sells for $45? If so, I'd really like to hear whether this would be suitable for the Whaler. Thank you very much indeed for your help, Matthew.
