The manual for my 2003 F115 has the steps in the back.

If you don't have a manual, I strongly recommend you buy one.

My manual is in the boat and not accessible at the moment.

From memory:

I remove the plugs, spray fogging oil (not alot) into each. Reinstall. Pull safety lanyard off and turn the engine over.

Change the oil, replace filter

Change the fuel filter cartridge

Change lower unit oil and the O rings

Pull prop and grease shaft. Reinstall.

Grease all the fittings on the engine

Lube the steering cable.

I went to my dealer and he made up a box for the supplies in about 5 minutes. Approx. $50 bucks for all above except the grease.

In looking at http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outboard/service/viewmanuals/viewmanuals. aspx?ls=outboard I selected my engine and opened up the manual as a PDF. If you do not see your model in the list for 2006, try prior years.

The winterization is listed in Maintenance/Transporting and Storage.

The steps they include for fogging involves pulling the spark arrestor off the front of the engine. I have been told this is not necessary.

They also mention lubing the threads on the plugs.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link to the Yamaha website which provides on-line versions of their manuals. I found extensive instructions about how to prepare a Yamaha outboard for prolonged storage. That is a great example of how a manufacturer can provide valuable information to its customers over the internet. Great information.

Hey--PERFECT--there is a manual for a Yamaha F90, and it clearly has the extensive instructions on how to prepare the motor for prolonged storage. What more could you ask for?

With all the veteran owners and mechanical/electrical pro's it is not often I can offer assistance.

Glad I could help.
