Hi. I'm [considering the purchase of] a 1976 Revenge 21 with a 2000 Yamaha [115-HP two-stroke] outboard. I am just wondering if a 115-HP is a proper fit for this size boat. I'm not a speed guy, however my normal load might be three or four people with gear. Thanks ,Ed

I think you'll be fine. I've had 10 persons in my 1972 outrage with a dying 1981 140-HP Evinrude (which is closer to 115-HP, and I'm lucky if I get 100-HP now). It still gets on a plane with that load and will cruise at 25-MPH. With four aboard it is much peppier. With a strong [Yamaha 115-HP two-stroke] I think you'll be fine. |

Thanks Gold. I'm not a speed demon and actually most of the time I might be the only one on the boat. Ed |

I have a 115 Suzuki 4s on a 19 revenge and with 6 adults she will still jump on plane and hit about 35mph. 40 is tops with 1 person. |
