What size stainless or aluminum propeller would you recommend for a 1982 13-foot Boston Whaler with a 2003 Mercury 30-HP two-cycle with power trim and tilt?. Thanks, mike

At the 30-HP power level I do not see much value in getting a stainless steel propeller. An aluminum propeller will probably work just as well, cost less, and have much less weight.

The principal advantage of a stainless steel propeller at that power level would be that it might have thinner blades. Thinner blades will allow the propeller to possibly give better speed.

If you plan to pull tubes etc. or carry heavy loads, get a std 3 blade aluminum with 12" pitch. If you will be lightly loaded most of the time (two adults & 6 gals fuel) get the 13" pitch.
