I took my [1968] 13-foot Boston Whaler boat out and remembered to bring my GPSr with me to get an accurate speed reading: 34-MPH with two guys on board (180-lbs and 200-lbs), fishing gear, and half a tank of gas. Next time out I will take out all the gear and do it with only myself on board and see if I can get it up to 40-MPH.

My motor is a 2004 Tohatsu 40-HP two-cycle. I will have to check on the prop if anyone is interested

Sound about right - doubt you will hit 40 - my trials are with my 13 and 40 Yamaha.

I would like to know what prop you are running on your Tohatsu 40 HP. I just bought a 2000 model 40 Tohatsu for my 13.
Thanks, Ted
