I have a boat that is bow heavy, it is 24ft and can carry 850lbs on the transom. Its not a whaler and is referred to as a wide beam longboat, I though you guys may be able help. I currently carry 370lbs, single 150hp 2 stroke. Could this be the problem and if so is there a way to fix this or is the only way to increase transom weight (single or twin outboards). I get 35knots with single 150 2s and the boats maximum is 250hp. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?.

Install a jackplate, raise the motor as much as possible and install a surface running/bow lifting type prop. Water pressure gauge would be a good idea also.
