Boat: Whaler 17 2007 Merc 90 4 Stroke

Just put a racor water fuel separator on.

And I'm not sure, but I think I notice a new slight vibration on the engine in the idle state. A slight shake back and forth.

Question: Would a water fuel separator cause this? And if so, is there something to do to get rid of it?

Thanks for any answers/thoughts...

Dave

The only thing I can think of is a low vacuum at idle may not be enough to pull in an adaquate fuel supply. I know some manufacturers recommend against adding another filter just for this reason.
