I am wondering if you could share your knowledge. I have a 15-foot classic Boston Whaler with a NISSAN 50-HP TLDI. I have an aluminum 13.1-pitch propeller. I want a new propeller that will drop the engine speed 300-RPM. Would the Stilleto TRIAD-II 13-inch propeller cause the engine speed to drop 300-RPM? Or, would I have to go up a pitch? I like the acceleration of the 13-inch pitch. I want to cruise at 27-MPH. Right now that's at 4,600-RPM. The [classic 15-foot Boston Whaler boat] rides best at that speed, but I don't like how high my [engine speed is] for cruising. I can't find any 14-inch propeller to demo in my area to see how it would perform.

thanks mike

Mike I don't know what "aluminum 13.1" prop you have but my suspicion is that yes, the Triad will drop your RPM. Try it and see.

Why not just get a 15" ordinary run of the mill propeller?

I would be afraid to even touch a "STILETTO" "TRIAD-II" (not to be confused with a "TRIAD-III SPACE COMMANDER" )propeller. Sounds dangerous.

What is a "15 inch ordinary run of the mill propeller"? What part number is that?

Where does one buy a "15 inch ordinary run of the mill propeller"?

How much should one expect to pay for such a prop?

Those props are available at the "Ordinary Run Of The Mill Propeller Store"-just opened up next to the Run of the Mill Boat Store. I saw them on sale for a low, run of the mill price, available in only one run of the mill size.

What is your run of the mill redline and where are you at now. That is more importanat than what RPM you cruise at. 4600 is not going to hurt anything.

Tom, is a 14" pitch stilleto triad II prop to much pitch. And where is a good place to buy props?

If you're turning max rated RPM (lightly loaded and trimed out) then you have the right prop!!!!!!!Don't fight success! Clark... SCN
