Today I replaced my Vengeance 17P with a four blade Quicksilver TYPHOON 17P [on a 2007 Boston Whaler 180 DAUNTLESS with 150-HP Verado]. All I can say is, "Wow, what a difference." My planing speed dropped by 4.5-MPH. My cruising speed went from 4,000-RPM, 26.5-MPH burning 5.9-GPH, to 4,000-RPM, 29.8-MPH burning 5.3-GPH. Max is the same, 6,300-RPM. I did however loose 4.1-MPH off the top, which to me is no big deal.
