I dont know the year but [my Evinrude 175-HO VRO] is real old, probably one of the first ones, maybe 1988 or 1999. How do I find out for sure? The model and serial have been worn off.
I need to know where I can find a owner's manual so I can find out what parts I need

Remove the motor cover and take pictures of all sides of the powerhead and we might be able to narrow things down for you.
And a picture of the motor cover will help too.

The owner's manual generally does not have parts lists. They just have operating and seasonal maintenance procedures. You can get a parts breakdown from BRP at their website

Usually the serial number or model number is provided on a metallic tag attached to the engine block.
