I just found a website that is offering these props for under $200. Does anyone have any experience with these props. Are they general usage props like a Mercury Vengeance or are they more of a performance prop like a Laser II? Does there design require ordering a lower pitch like the Stiletto Advantage props?

I had a Powertech prop. If you email the company through the website you will get an answer. They are very good. For my boat, the 18P Vengeance was a better prop. Maybe if they had an 18 pitch prop at the time, theirs would have been better or as good.

I replaced my LaserII with one comparable from PowerTech and have been very happy with it. my midrange speed increased at the same rpm and my WOT speed was higher with no loss of rpm. I tried to pass along how pleased I was with the prop and got a very luke warm reception here on CW since I didn't have a huge amount of data to substantiate my happiness. Several RPM/speed readings along with accurate gallons per hour burned as well as wind, tide, direction of test and the temperature and altitude of course. These must be compared with identical information gathered from the propellor you just replaced. All of the above data are absolute MUSTS if you are going to post your happiness with a given propellor. PowerTech makes a resonably priced high quality product in my opinion. The folks I called for the recommended replacement prop couldn't have been nicer. The company has a try it out policy that allows you to try different props if the first one is returned undamaged. Nice folks. Good luck.
