Bass Pro mounted it in the second hole. The cavitation plate lines up 1/2" above the keel line. When running it is below the water line spraying water. The boat has a heavy top with canvas and rod holders adding to the total weight. Does that make any difference in how low the engine should run in the water. Using a 19 pitch Mirage plus prop for 5600 rpms. Do you move engine up first or try a 17 pitch prop. Appreciate any comments.

Just move it up one more hole and you will see a world of difference with little or no spray and an increase of about 100 RPM.

You don't need to, and don't want to, drop to a 17" MIRAGEplus

Thanks so much, I read several of the old posts on this before they mounted it and told them at least 1 1/2" was recommended, but they did it their way. Now I will get it moved up.
