MY friend has a 1999 Outrage 21 with a 1999 Yamaha 200 2 stroke mounted all the way down. It has a Yamaha ss 15.25 x 15-m prop on it. What would the best mounting height be for this combination? Thanks Al

How on Earth did that motor get mounted so low? When the boat left the factory, the Mercury on it was mounted two holes up and was equipped with a 15-1/2" x 17" MIRAGE propeller if the motor were a 200 HP model.

The Yamaha 200 two stroke shares very similar gear ratio and RPM range and would make use of the same propeller.

I would raise that motor at least two holes, and maybe even three (which would be a high as it can go) and use a 15-1/2" x 17" Mercury MIRAGEplus or Enertia propeller.

If you want a Yamaha branded prop try a 17" M Series, either Saltwater Series II, Reliance or Painted Stainless Steel models.
