Does anyone know if these props which they say perform like Stiletto props are also like Stiletto props in that they perform more like a prop with 2" more pitch than their given pitch number. I would just get a Stiletto but Powertech offers this series in 1" pitch increments thus allowing for more finer adjustments to WOT rpm

No, do not assume that pitches are directly comparable between brands. Every model of propeller is a little different.

You don't say what model of Stiletto you are referring to, but if you are talking about the Advantage, which is only offered in odd pitches, you can get the same prop in an even pitch by purchasing a Yamaha Performance Series 3-Blade, which is only offer in even pitches.

The rub there is the Yamaha Performance Series 3-Blade only comes with a press-in rubber hub for Yamaha, so depending on what brand of outboard you have, that may be a problem.

It's for a 90 E-tec. Would like to try a 16" pitch prop as a 17" pitch OMC SST was a bit too much

What boat is the E-TEC 90 on?

Waterlogged, rough bottom paint, motor mounted too low 1970 16'

Then you want a 13-1/4" x 15" Stiletto Advantage.

Move the motor up on the transom as high as it can go. That alone will make a huge difference to how the boat performs.

I can do 40.9mph at 5000rpm wot with the SST. Fast enough for me just want more rpms for additional passengers. Would have to fill and drill to raise motor and there is no lifting ring on this motor. It's up one hole now

If it is fast enough for you, then leave it be. 5000 RPM in well within the recommended WOT RPM range and even within the Optimal RPM range of 5000-5200 RPM.

But you're leaving speed and fuel economy on the table...

2013 owners manual states 5000-5500 wot range but I thought it was 4500 5500 in earlier years. I would rather be at 5200

Yes, I agree, that is why it would be a good idea to move the motor up.
