This is an interesting article which discusses various BRP propellers, which is worth sharing:

Thanks for the pointer to the article which tests the Evinrude REBEL and VIPER three-blade propellers, and also the CYCLONE four-blade propeller on a 25-foot boat with twin 150-HP E-TEC engines.

Among the results, one data point I find interesting: the best fuel economy was provided by the three-blade REBEL. That is not a surprise, as the REBEL produced the best fuel economy on my boat among about a dozen propeller tested. But, more interesting, was the lower pitch. The REBEL 17 pitch had the best fuel economy. This contradicts a popular notion that one can obtain better fuel economy by using a higher pitch propeller.

The Evinrude REBEL produces such improved fuel economy, perhaps Evinrude should rename it: ECO REBEL.

ECO REBEL made for Eco-TECs.

I find the report interesting for other reasons. I have a Pursuit 2470 Walk Around powered by twin Yamaha HPDI 150s turning 19 inch Yamaha Saltwater Series propellers. I believe that the 2470 hull is an evolution of the Pursuit 25 in that test. My performance numbers are almost exactly the same -- 2.3 to 2.4 MPG at 30 MPH and nearly 50 MPH at WOT.
