You're getting me revved up for boating season! I had asked about experiences with the 90 H.O. last year, but at the time there did not seem to be anyone who had tried the combination. Everyone seemed to think it would be an excellent match, though. There actually was one guy in, I think, FL that had one and said it was great. After much deliberation we finally went with the H.O. We brought it somewhere to have the motor installed over the winter. My father went up there the other day and sent back some pictures showing that the engine is mounted. I believe they are going to do some sea trials to help with prop selection and then we should be good to go.
My father didn't like the idea of the separate oil reservoir in the already cramped center console (I wired a second battery in last summer), but I definitely prefer to have it somewhere I'll see/check it every time I run the boat. We also had a trim/tilt gauge installed which I think will be really helpful.
We run mostly in the ocean so we won't have the opportunity to hit the increased top speed that often, but I am super duper excited for those nice calm flat days where we can really get moving!
