I have a new sahara s 500 bilge pump to instal with a black ,brown ,and a brown and white stripe wire and float built in , how do I connect ? do I need another switch on the dash or els ? or I need a schematic ? Thanks ottorino

I'm not positive, but I think you have a negative and two positive inputs. One positive should run the pump and the other should allow the switch to control the pump. Or sort of an "On or Auto" situation. Didn't you get documentation with the pump?

Derf is right.

One brown wire is PUMP IS ON when +12 is applied.
Other brown wire is PUMP IS CONTROLLED BY FLOAT switch when +12
is applied.
Black is ground.
I don't remember which brown wire is which, but the pump
instructions will tell you..

Usual way of wiring is to use a DPST center off switch.
Switch up applies power to PUMP IS ON and to the pilot light
on the switch.
Switch down applies power to PUMP IS CONTROLLED BY FLOAT.
Wiring it this way will turn on the pilot light when pump
is running for either reason.

Be sure seal the connections well in the bilge.
