Does anyone have any feedback on the engine mounted Minn Kota RT55/EM ?
I'm thinking about adding one to my 2002 BW Montauk (90 HP Mercury engine). It appears to be the way to go but I'm wondering if anyone heard of any performance or hardware concerns regarding the outboard. I can't seem to find any reviews on this product.

From what i saw the electric would be out of the water when the gas motor was being used ,,but only at planeing speeds,, so it looks good for bass boats that only go from stop to full speed a nd than to troll,,

John,
I had the Motorguide Engine mounted motor on my Montauk. It worked great. I used it for freshwater striper fishing. The rear mounted engines do suffer alittle in the wind but over all I was very pleased. The main reason I chose the engine mounted system was I did not want to drill holes in a classic Montauk. Hope this helps.
Joe
