SONAR: Test Target

In a recent article on PANBO.COM, a suggestion was mentioned that one could construct a test target for evaluation of the performance of a SONAR by using ping pong balls wrapped in panty hose and held down with a weight. Such a target would simulate a fish's swim bladder.
This might be a fun exercise the next time a bunch of Boston Whaler boat owner's get together. Set up a test range with a few targets like this, and see how various different fish finders or SONAR's can locate them.
If anyone tries this, please report your findings so we can get a baseline about how many ping pong balls and at what depth you can see them.
