According to the manual, a NAVMAN 3100 FUEL instrument can output NMEA-0183 sentences--PTTKV (unknown parameter)
--VHW (Water speed and heading),
--XDR (Cross track error), and
--VLW (Distance travelled through the water)
If you routed the NMEA-0183 output from the NAVMAN 3100 to a device that could display those parameters, you should have success.
I don't quite understand what the PTTKV sentence refers to. If anyone knows, please jump in to explain.
The VHW water speed would likely only be available with a paddlewheel transducer connected to the NAVMAN 3100.
I have no clue how the XDR data would be developed in the NAVMAN 3100 FUEL instrument. I suspect it would repeat the data from the GPS input.
The VLW distance would also presumably require the paddlewheel transducer input.
If you make the interconnection between the NAVMAN 3100 and your display device, let us know what data you can see.
