NSS Version 2.0 Software Update

We are pleased to offer a free software update to even further improve the outstanding performance of your NSS Sport. The new software includes many additional features, including the revolutionary StructureMap®, a handy PDF viewer, increased networking capabilities, further CZone digital switching functionality, Volvo EVC support for autopilot integration, Freshest Data™ chart updating in association with Navionics and advanced Broadband 4G™ Radar control and much more.

StructureMap™

The future of mapping. This innovative tool allows users with a StructureScan® sonar module to overlay SideScan images onto a chart to create life-like representations of their whole boating environment, above and below the water.


PDF Viewer

Lost your manual? Can't find the weather forecast you printed off? With our handy PDF viewing tool you'll never be without them again. The new 2.0 software update enables you to upload, store and view digitised manuals, images, fishing and weather reports and any other .pdf files directly from a micro SD card, which can be saved to the onboard memory or remain on the micro SD card.


Multiple Networking

Through software optimisation, the new 2.0 upgrade allows those with multiple NSS Sport units to network more displays than ever before. Now users will be able to network up to six displays , allowing more flexibility to meet virtually any installation requirement. This increased capability is ideal for larger vessels that require units at the helm, at the chart table, in the master cabin and beyond.


CZone Digital Switching

The new software upgrade enables full digital control of AC devices from your NSS, which reaffirms the NSS as the main control centre for all of your onboard electronics, from autopilot to navigation lights and everything in between, regardless of power source. Improvements have also been made to the CZone user interface to increase functionality and ease of use.


Volvo EVC Support

Now there is absolutely no requirement for a separate autopilot controller because every NSS with 2.0 software upgrade will support Volvo IPS. This will allow all users with Volvo Penta IPS systems or Volvo Penta Aquamatic with electronic steering systems to connect with the NSS and use the integrated autopilot function.


Enhanced Broadband 4G™ Radar

When coupled with a Broadband 4G™ Radar, NSS users will now benefit from the highest levels of definition available from a dome radar with beam sharpening via target separation control, which allows users to view a much clearer and more detailed image of their surroundings. A new noise rejection function also improves range performance and increases target detection sensitivity.


Navionics Freshest Data

Has a sand bar shifted? Have you found a wreck that wasn't previously marked? No problem. With freshest data you can update your charts online whenever you want and also keep up to date by adding user generated content to your charts via the NSS Navionics Freshest Data feature. This is available for Navionics Gold and Navionics Platinum+ products.


Faster GPS Updates

With the new software the update rate on your internal GPS increases from 1Hz to 5Hz. It'll update your position, COG and SOG up to 5 times faster!

Loaded it on a clients and my NSS 8 yesterday took about five minutes per MFD. Works as advertised.
