Topic:   Standard-Horizon Chart Plotter with NMEA-2000

posted 11-09-2013 10:55 AM ET (US)         I recently noticed that Standard-Horizon's chart plotter model CPN1010i has a NMEA-2000 interface. And the smaller CPN700i also has NMEA-2000 built-in. I believe that these are the first products from Standard-Horizon to provide NMEA-2000 interfaces. The NMEA-2000 standard, although now 13-years old, has not quite become universal in marine chart plotters and other electronics, but with the inclusion of it in these newer chart plotter from Standard-Horizon, we see more evidence that NMEA-2000 is becoming very widespread in its adoption and use.
