I am about to replace my old Jensen Marine stereo for the third time on my 2008 190 Outrage. Fortunately, I was able to utilize the warranty for each replacement. The warranty is out this time and I am not buying another Jensen.
Does anyone have a recommendation on a moderately priced reliable MARINE AM/FM Stereo?

The iPod with ear buds is an excellent marine stereo. Waterproof cases are available.

Joe this is why I never liked cut into my boat for a radio, I always carried a sony box type, I can put it in different places in the boat or take it with me when I land on an island, and toss it when it does not work anymore, however with todays electronics I agree with Jefecinco

I have a Jensen msr2007 now. It is ok, had to repair it myself once,. If it dies i will probably get a unit from fusion. People seem to like their marine headunits.

I agree with jefecinco with a little addition. iPod with waterproof Bluetooth speaker. There are lots of good ones from about $50 to $200. Plus you can use it on the patio, too.

I have a Dual Marine Stereo unit on my 1989 22' Outrage, and one on my 1998 Polar 1780 Saltwater Series flats boat. Both units perform very nicely. I believe the following link provides what you are looking for in the Dual line. Good luck with your purchase.

Does anyone have any experience with Poly-Planar stereos? They have been making marine speakers for years and I see they also have a few stereo models out.

iPhone/Smart Phone and portable Bluetooth speakers is not a bad way to go - simple.

I do what Whatknot does, works great - iPod whatever. Got a simple JBL Flip speaker and put it on console or up front where folk lay on bow cushion. Works great, no holes to drill. I'd like to set up a charging or power system for iPhones, iPods - not sure how to do it.
