I have a Lowrance HDS-7. Last year I installed an [in-line] fuel flow [sensor] [assumed to be the EP-60R mentioned in the topic line]. It worked great all season. Now the [HDS-7] shows only dashed lines where the fuel flow used to be. I went through the menus on the HDS and under the network menu it doesn't even show the [EP-60R]. I've checked all power cords and looked at the pins on the network plug, but still no luck. Any ideas? |

I assume you are using the menu selection http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/HDS_Menu.html#Devicelist to generate a list of NMEA-2000 network devices seen by the HDS-7. Does the list show any other devices on the network that are not internal to the HDS-7? Have you checked to see if the network power is working properly? The EP-60R must be powered by the network. Without network power it won't be working. |

Quite by accident, this morning I came across this thread http://www.thehulltruth.com/marine-electronics-forum/ 590114-lowrance-ep-60r-scratching-my-head.html in which another boater reports failure of an EP-60R. A reason for your EP-60R to not show up on your NMEA-2000 network could be, of course, due to some internal failure of the EP-60R. |
