Many boats in the USA have a fuel tank that already has a standard 33-Ohm to 24-Ohm resistive float level sender, usually connected to a small electrical gauge. The same sensor can be adapted for use with a NMEA-2000 fluid tank level convertor, such as the inexpensive Lowrance EP-65R.
