The Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show starts in less than a week on October 30, 2104. There are likely to be some new product introductions there. In particular, rumors about new products from Lowrance have been heard. Simrad, their big-sister NAVICO brand, has made some significant advances with the NSS evo2 products, and it is anticipated that Lowrance may soon reveal their updates, possible to be designated as an HDS G3 line. In the case of Lowrance, there have been some excellent incentives, bundles, and price reductions made on their existing products. Price reductions like that often signal the imminent arrival of new products, and make the existing products even more attractive. New electronic products announced at Ft. Lauderdale may not be in production and available until 2015. |

It has been a week and I have heard nothing about any new products from Lowrance being shown at Ft. Lauderdale. Perhaps the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) on November 18 in Amsterdam (Netherlands) will bring us something new. |

I just became aware of three new radios from RAYMARINE that were revealed for the first time at the show. See |
