How would I copy and transfer all my data from a good EMM to another to have as a spare? The outboard engine is a modey-year 2000 Evinrude 250. I had it brought up to current with all the improvements. The EMM was done by DFI Technologies. The outboard engine has been screaming fast with no problems for two years. I want to prepare for what everyone is saying will happen sooner or later.

If you have the Evinrude Diagnostics Software, consult the HELP menu for advice. I do not think at the dealer level or owner level of the software that you can actually perform the operation you want to accomplish. That sort of manipulation of the EMM is reserved for the factory.

You must have an Evinrude FICHT or RAM engine, which pre-dates the current E-TEC models. I am not sure where you can find expert advice on these FICHT engines on the internet. The website ETECOWNERSGROUP.COM tends to not support them. Your best bet is probably to contact DFI Technologies for further help.
