After recovering my stolen 1988 18 Outrage, stripped of motor, controls, gauges and electronics, it was time to upgrade to: --new Yamaha F115B with Command Guages; the Fuel meter is great; --Garmin 840xs with upgraded saltwater transducer and West Coast cartography; --Garmin 547 with BlueCharts; --Furuno FCV-627 with Airmar P66 transducer; and, --Standard Horizon GX2150 VHF-AIS-GPS. I still need to tie everything in together. Great stuff!--FISHNFF |

The Standard-Horizon radio will only have a NMEA-0183 interface. For help in interfacing using NMEA-0183, see my suggestions at Guide to NMEA-0183 Interconnections When you install the new radio, you should review the many aspects of a radio installation as I describe in VHF Marine Band Radio Installation on a Small Boat |
