I am putting together a last-minute trip and need your help. My extended family would like to rent a 4- or 5-bedroom beach house in NC, SC, GA or Florida. Dates are Saturday June 18 - Friday June 24. We need to be able to tie up 2 Whalers somewhere near the house or else keep them on trailers in the driveway. Any ideas? |

I found a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom house on Pawley's Island for $2600 for the week. But there is no washer and dryer, I was really hoping to get 2 full bathrooms, and a fourth bedroom would be ideal. Anyone have any ideas before I send them a check for $2600? |

Yes, please send me the address of the house so that me and a few (dozen) of my closest CW friends can join you.

Jim, many thanks for the links. These are great rates for canal front houses and since some are rented for 3 days (in the off season) they would be perfect for a weekend rendezvous/fishing trip. So there you go, CFCAJUN. Let's plan a trip. But for this trip the house has to be beach front. The focus on this trip will be watching the kids play in the sand while the adults make blender drinks and turn meat on the barbeque grill. |

So does that mean you'll be playing in the sand? |

Stefen, thanks for the lead. That would be ideal for someone who wants to be in a place with cars on the beach and drunken teenagers. We are trying to avoid those things this trip! But it might be perfect for some other members of this forum.... We found a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house in Surf City, NC that rents for $1300 for the week. So we are going to take it. We will have a couple of Whalers there and will probably be in them every day. So if anyone will be in the area that week, send me an email. Thanks. |

Stefan, you just wait until you have a wife and kids! Now if you'll put a ring on Melody's finger and invite me to the wedding, I'll fly down to the sunshine state and cut loose for sure. |
