I am thinking about a boating trip to Lake Sunapee in NH. Can anyone give me some info? Is it a good lake for family boating? Where should I launch? etc.

Thanks,

Frank

Frank--

Lake Sunapee is a PERFECT family lake! 10 miles long, 3 miles wide with crystal clear Class A reservoir status make this a NH hotspot!

I have lived out on Great Island for over twenty five years and am convinced this is the ideal place for my young son (4.5yrs)!

Great access and parking in Sunapee Harbor, free on both accounts!

Lots of old traditional lake architecture and many interesting sights along the extensive shorelines. Food can be found at both northern and southern ends of the lake, along with Sunapee Harbor, of course.

The lake is well marked for hazards and includes three lighthouses to boot.

Feel free to call me directly for any additional questions you may have.

PS Anyone want to make this a summer CW Rendezous for this year?

Firebrand......why don't you set up a rendezvous for the last week in August on Sunapee? There is one set up for the Big Lake earliet in August. I'm sure there are folks that would be interested.

We should be able to make that.

Firebrand, any chance you can make it over to Winni?

Yes! Let's try for the last week in August as I am shooting for an ABC program in NY (near water and possibly on water, somewhere...) during the first week of August.

Let's see what people would like for the last week!

Let's hear it, people! Let's make this the year for a real Sunapee event.

Best,

Brant

Talked to my wife about it this morning. Any part of the week is okay. She is a mortgage officer and the big closing days are the Thursday and Friday of the wek before.

Gents--

Are people thinking of the last FULL week of August, that is Sunday August 21 through Sunday August 28?

Or are we talking about the week leading up to Labor Day weekend?

I can work up something for either but what you all think?

Best,

Brant
