come on W./central FL gang, I think it's about time to plan an august trip-

1)- Frank suggested Swannee?
2)- Janis -St Johns?-Daytona-St Augustine?
3)- anyone else?- Tampa Bay area?

The Suwanee is high right now. Not too many springs open for playing in. But we can give it a go anyway. Won't be many places to swim/dive, plenty to drink though. I checked out a hotel in Old Town that is nice enough for our usual crowd. It has floating docks (not the best, bring bumpers) right on the river, BBQ, pavillion(in case of rain)

stefan, even though we have done 4 official Whaler events this summer, I can't wait for the next rendezvous. Hay, make sure to title your new topics for Central Florida so we will "tune in". I like the St. Johns idea or some place where we can actually run the boats and not just sit on a sand bar and drink beer... not that there's anything wrong with that. :-) I also like Daytona Beach to Ponce inlet. Some good camping spots there too but too hot right now. Smirk

I think september or october would be better bug and temperature-wise. St Johns or Ponce inlet are my choices. Hontoon landing on hte St Johns would be ideal. Fresh water to treat our outboards and nice scenery.
