A few weeks ago my son and I took a ride around Manhattan in my 150 Sport. We put in at the Yonkers ramp north of the George Washington Bridge and headed down the Hudson. Took a left at the Harlem River and then a right onto the East River. Did some fishing off of Castle Williams on Governors Island and then headed down towards the Verrazano Bridge in the lower harbor. No fish were harmed on this trip unfortunately. We then started up the Hudson River and back to Yonkers. Had a great trip, saw some fabulous sights, and unbelieveably, we did it all on a six gallon tank of fuel. Some photos follow. Nice pics. We went to NY for the first time 2 weeks ago. We took the tour boat around Manhattan. It amazed me just how many people can fit on to one island! Billy |

Sal A- It was a super day, Hudson and Harlem rivers like glass, and the East River pretty smooth. Going up the Hudson we were against the tide, but still not bad. Love that 150 Sport! Can't take credit for the photos, my son took all except the picture of him.
Seriously, I hope you enjoyed your stay in NY. Livingwater- Hope you enjoyed the photos. If you haven't already done it, it's really a great trip. Guess in CT you're close enough to do it. Steve |
