We are going to be at Jacques Cartier State Park again with Ed and Jane. 14 - 23 August 09. All are welcome to come and enjoy the beautiful St. Lawernce River with us.
Can ya make it Bulldog? How about you Stevesking19?

Hey Greg how are you! Does Ed still have that mint Bethany camper? Pat wants to come up again, but it might be with the whole "clan", I'm not sure when or if they want to rent a house. I'll shoot for that date though. Anyone else want to consider it, it is great there , camp within site of your boat at a free dock, with large ships chugging by...Jack

Jack that would be great if you and Pat and clan can come up. Ed and Jane bought a 65 Lyman 26ft and Ed is working on her.

I've been contemplating a trip outside our normal 9 dots and remembered this thread.
I haven't been to the 1,000 Islands since I was a kid so I'm wondering if some of you are still travelling to Jacques Cartier around this time?

Pete you should contact Greg, probably too late to get a good campsite near the water though. We had a great time, but with quitting my job of about three decades and starting another, I can't get away.....Jack

Hi, We have also been contemplating a trip to the 1,000 islands. Which island is Jaques Carter State Park on? Can you sleep on your boat there? What other islands have docks that you could go to during the day for a hike and lunch stop? Where would you recommend leaving your truck and trailer on the Canadian and or American side that is safe for a week? Any other tidbits greatly appreciated.
Summer has finally started (weather-wise.) Hope you all are enjoying!

Greg, always gonna be a sparky! Instead of a trauma center electrical foreman, now it is as electrical manager of a group of companies in quarry, asphalt and construction business, still electric! Guess we should have pushed this earlier, Greg was a great host , and the area is awesome! August 2010??.....Jack

Seems I thought of this too late according to the family. Their minds are set on our traditonal location to the north rather than east. Too bad, would have nice to meet you all.
