Three friends and I are leaving from Michigan on Friday to tow my 21 Outrage down to Venice LA for a week of fishing in and around the delta. I think I have everything prepared but was wondering if anybody had any tips on any good rigs to try. We combined don’t have much time on saltwater but thought the weather will have to be better down their then it is up here so we thought we would give it a try. Our goal is to at least catch more fish then the number of rods in the boat. Any help here would be appreciative. More then willing to trade tips or trips if you are ever up in MI.

I'm not from that area, but I do a lot of salt water fishing. IMO live bait is king. When you arrive, find the closest bait and tackle shop to the boat ramp and load up on live bait (shrimp, finger mullet, etc.) whatever they stock at the local bait shop. If you have a throw net, you may be able to get your own live bait near the boat ramp.
