Hi All,
Looking to do another BW GTG this year. I wanted to do it when it was a little warmer so I picked Saturday, June 7th. All schools should be out by then so I'm hoping for a great turnout. More info to come.

It is hard to commit this far out , but I will put the date on my calendar. I sold the 15 I brought last time, so I will be in the old 21 Revenge.

Just checking to learn if you've had responses from anyone else. As the date gets a little closer and the weather is FINALLY OK for boating I find myself yearning to spend more time on the water.
Jane has allowed as how she will try to come to this meet. I hope so.
We're in Gulf Shores for a couple of weeks and were pleased to see we now have a Big Daddy's here. We'll be checking it out this week. It's just across Canal Road from Tacky Jacks but unfortunately not on the water.

I just saw a photograph of Big Daddys. Some of the roof was above the flood water. Looks like we'll need to bring lunch or find another place to eat.
First time the Fish River has been known to crest more than 23 feet above flood level.
Man, what a hell of a 24 hours. We recorded over 12 inches in Spanish Fort.

Hey Butch, it was epic flooding indeed. I will check with Jason to make sure the restaurant is OK and reply. Flood waters were above the bridge deck where we had the last event if that tells you anything. I think we should be fine by June 7th though. :-)

I agree. The picture I saw on the news identified the wrong structure as Big Daddys. Apparently he plans to reopen in about three weeks.

I haven't heard from Derek lately but I plan to be there with my 13, weather permitting. Jane and I plan to go to Big Daddy's for lunch after a couple of hours or so at the Cold Hole.
We hope to see you there. Which boat are you planning to bring?
I expect the ramp at Fish River and US98 to be busy on a Saturday morning but I'm hoping the crowd will have lessened by 10:00 or so when we hope to launch. I'll have to look at my "Top Spots" fishing chart to see if there may be a better alternative if the ramp is too crazy when we arrive.
Maybe I'll shoot an email to Derek to learn what his plans are.

Thanks for the update Butch, no conflicts so far. I plan to bring the 1973 21 Revenge. While we still have 2manyboats I am down to just 1 whaler.

The Nolte Creek launch is about 10 minutes past there off of CR 26. Private launch, $3.00 but very seldom ever crowded. Let me know if you need directions.
