Heading to [Panama City, Florida] for vacation May 23 through June 2. If all goes well, we'll be in my Montauk most of the time. Plan to spend most mornings anchored on the back side of Shell Island in the vicinity of the "Alabama" Dock or on the Gulf side near the jetty playing with the dolphins when the water is right. Afternoons will be spent eating oysters by the pool at the old Tacky Jacks (not sure what its current name is)
My boat has a blue bimini top and a 90-HP Tracker motor. TN registration numbers. If any of you are in the area and see us, stop and say hi. If we are sinking, please lend a hand. If I'm yelling at kids, don't be alarmed - its completely normal.

Next year consider Gulf Shores. Much nicer in my very prejudiced opinion.

Stayed in a house on Flood Reef in Perdido key for years. Loved it but price has just gotten too high for a house with a dock.
It's a fight every year with the family. We miss a lot of things over there - Lillian,s Pizza, Sunset grill near rabbit island/Ono, Po-boys at Brian's Seafood under the bridge. But we can stay for 10 days in Panama City for less than the price of 7 in Perdido Key and I've got a good Friend that lives there with a 27 ft Searay on the water who is always willing to take us off shore.
If you get a house in Panama City on the bay and spend your time on Shell island away from where the tour boats land, its really pretty nice. Just stay off the public beaches and as far-away from Pineapple Willies and the high rises as you can!

Yep. That was us. Got a house a little further in the bay this time. We'll keep an eye out for you. I still want a ride in that outrage!
