I can make it in August, but the only 2 weekends free are 8/9 and 8/16. Hopefully that fits with other folks' schedules.
Is JohnZ still volunteering to host on Lopez?

I am not able to make 8/09 work. It is the only weekend I have made a commitment for already.

Bronwyn wants to do the local triathlon on the 16th, so perhaps we may be skipping a year. We'll have to wait and see how the dates work out.

Yes I would love to host on Lopez IS. I just have to figure out my scheduled, I will try and post some dates that work for me after the 4th. I have a couple work trips planed that I should know the dates for by then. Dennis I’m on Island for the next couple weeks if you are out running around stop by I would love to see your new boat. We are the most southerly dock on Fisherman’s Bay cant miss it reddish rail and old white house

I'll be up the next few weekends for sure. I'm thinking about running down to Port Ludlow for the 4th. Opening season for crabbing down there as well as clam opening at an enhanced beach. Plus my wife's sister and brother in law, so we'd have a nice place to stay. I may be out and about this weekend too.
Unfortunately the kicker on my new boat is kaput beyond repair, and the main died unexpectedly a few weeks back. The boat drifted in front of the Hyak as she was getting ready to depart. Not fun. Of course it started up again as soon as assistance arrived. Westsound could not find a problem before or after, so I'm a little nervous until I get more time on it and/or a replacement kicker.
I think I may still have your phone from last year. Maybe we can get together for a bit.

Dennis it has only been 9 months since the Hyak ran down a boat so I think you were safe I can’t imagine it running down 2 boats in the same year. Now I would stay away from the Elwha it runs into rocks, and they don’t even move (-: Orcas to Lopez would be a good test run if you have an issue call me I will come get you.

I am out at Samish until the middle of July. The 15 Sport is on a bouy out front, the Revenge is in the Twin Bridges Marina. Despite a whole lot of gremlins this year, everything is working on both boats, finally.
Elwha on the rocks is a fine drink.
When the Hyak ran down the sailboat, they were training. The Captain kept saying "right" but the helmsman went left. Must have been related to Dennis.
I am open every weekend except for 8/9.

One other date I'll throw out there is Sunday 8/3. I already have a commitment on Saturday 8/2, but if Sunday works for everyone else I could do that.

Currently looks like I will be working in Tucson the first couple weeks of August so the only weekends I have available for August are 23/24, and 30/31 labor day weekend. Most of September also works for me. I would love to host the PNW event on Lopez, but keep in mind there is not much on Lopez, but good hospitality. Also note my Dock only has 2 feet of water at a 0 tide, but I do have a mooring, and the Islander Resort is just down the road. Anyone that would like spend a night or more I have a couple spare rooms with queen beds, and would love to have anyone spend night. I’m located in Fisherman’s bay and it is a great starting point for anyone that wants to explore the Islands.

Now the bad news I pulled my boat Thursday since I was going to be out of town,and ran it a tank and changed the oil. I found significant amounts of water in the oil of my DF70. I changed the oil three more times, and ran it in my tank for about 2hr and the oil is still clean, but the reality is that there is a 99.9% chance I have a major issue so I may not have a boat. Dennis if you decide to sell your Montauk send me an email I may have a buyer.

I will come out on 8/23 and stay until the end of September, how does that sound John? It would be nice to kick back in Fishermans Bay with a boat right at the dock for fun times. Do you have any good beer?
Just kidding, it looks like there are only 3 of us this year that are interested. My time at Samish Island is over now, so if we have a rendezvous I will be in the Revenge, not the "much more fun to run" 15 Sport. I ran out to Clark a couple of times, Govenors Point, and Bellingham in the 15. The weather has been good for boating but a little bumpy at times.

I need to work a birthday trip with Judy in on one of the free September weekends.

I'm currently free after August 16th to mid September. I can make Aug 23/24, but I think Dennis is not available, and we have to see his new Boat??? Plan B would be Sep 6/7, Plan C Sep 13/14 ?? Plan D is all of the above I plan to be home working on broke Stuff, and will need the break. There is long shot I will be working Labor Day in North Carolina so I will keep that off the table for now. Lets Vote (-: Chriscz when you are on Lopez stop by anytime

My df70 is getting major water in the oil so looks like I will pulling the boat, and doing a major tear down )-: I have no clue where the water is coming from, but I don't see any easy options.

We're unlikely to make it this year.
B and I are coming down your way at the end of the month to go to the WOO races at Skagit Friday night, then to a Mariners game Saturday, but as of the moment, will be travelling by motorcycle this year.
