I need a specification that you won't find in the brochure or on the website. What is the garage clearance (height) for a 22 Dauntless on a trailer - both with a t-top and without? I'm sure the t-top won't clear a standard 7' garage door. I wonder if the console windshield will?

Depends on the trailer set-up. Straight beam ladder type trailers ride much higher than a vee-d or sloped frame trailer. My 18 clears by a 'hair' on a straight/ladder frame.

My Montauk, which sits real low slung on the
trailer, barely clears.

It will even vary a bit from trailer to trailer
of the same general type, so measure one on the
trailer you will have.

You have a real deep garage if the length is
OK. Remember that the motor hangs out in the
back and the tongue sticks out in the front.

Chuck is correct on the length issue. The 22 is huge… My 16 Dauntless will not fit in my garage length or height wise. Standard 8 foot door, 20 x 20 Garage. You may need something like 30+ or so in depth or a removable tongue.

I just get my '99 16' Dauntless in a 21' deep x 7'8" high garage with a 6'8" high doorway. My trick is to use a standard automotive floorjack to support the tongue just off the ground while I roll it in a few inches to get the console top grab rail to just clear under the doorway. Once inside, I can put the trailer back up on the tongue jack. Takes a few extra minutes but sure beats keeping it outside.
