Has anyone experienced any weld failures of the aluminum supports to their hardtops? What should I do? Is it a safty issue? |

It is hard to field your entire question - but you obviously have to have it weld repaired. Get a good qualified welder with a TIG welder who knows what he is doing and repair the weld. Since there was a problem with the original weld, have him beef up the joint while is doing the job. --- Jerry/Idaho |

If you have a Conquest then you will have weld failuers due to insufficient bracing. Several 23' Conquests here have had them including mine. http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000357.html Conveniently, Whaler shipped me a retrofit kit for mine after I had it fixed by a local shop. Turns out I think I like my fix better than Whaler's, but we will see in time. Good luck! Tully Mars |
