I am looking at possibly purchasing a 2000 18 Outrage but the height of the boat on the trailer is too tall to make it in my garage. Is it possible to modify the existing CC and windshield and install a hinged windshield? Would it be a custom job or are there other options? Maybe I am out of luck?

I have the 2000 18' Outrage and think it would have to be a custom job if it is possible. The grab rail would need to modified as well. Depending on the set up you may not gain that much clearance. How much shorter does it need to be? |

I stopped and took a bunch of measurements and might make it if the entire windshield and rail were out of the way. I need to lose almost two full feet off the height of the boat sitting on the trailer. That is with the bow as low as it will go. I believe this particular trailer has the boat sitting up about one foot more than normal. As much as I would like this boat I just don't think I am up for all the modifications and monkeying around each time I want to get it out and use it. I could store the boat but I live so close to the launch I hate the thought of that hassle as well. Next house will have a tall door or a barn! Thanks for the reply. |
