Hi everyone....Tin Lid here, well I just Bought my first Boston Whaler 2003 130 Sport 40 HP 2 stroke I gave 4 stroke a lot of thought but I just kept thinking of the guy who lived next door to us at the lake when I was a kid,he had a Bearcat 55 and could never keep it going for more then a few days at a time, I'm sure they have come a long way with the 4 strokes since then. I got really lucky with my deal for this boat, you see some little old lady won it in the Heart and Stroke lottery and she had no use for it so she let the marina who donated to the lotto sell it for her,but the sales guys didn,t push it because there little cake for them so they would steer their customers towards their boats. Anyway I saved 5K!!!! on the complete package. Has anyone here ever mounted a bow mount tolling motor on a 130 sport, and do you have any pic's.

Hi Tin Lid. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new boat and good deal.

For trolling motor info, go to http://www.continuouswave.come and click Site Search.

In the search box, enter "trolling motor" and "130"

If that doesn't get you the info, widen the search by removing the and "130"

Hope this helps,

Tin Lid, Welcome to Whaler sounds like you gat a great deal. . Happy to see they are still using boats as raffle awards. My family won our first boat 35 years ago on a 25 cent church ticket, called it the "Two Bits". Boating ever since.

Thanks.... RioRaft for the nice welcome and that must have been a long time ago when your family won the two-bit boat.Did you have it for a long time?
