I am in the market for a small whaler (around 15'), and a used 13' dauntless is available in my area (San Diego, CA). It has a 1995 yamaha pro 50 2c. I am mainly interested in comments on the Yamaha pro 50, but any other general comments would be appreciated. Some specific things I am interested in are:

-What is different about the "pro" series (other than oil injection), is this the same as the "saltwater" (S prefix) models ?
-Any comments on reliability/issues with the pro 50 ?
-Any specific issues with the 1995 model year engine ?
-Any major improvements in newer model year yamaha 2 cycles vs 1995 ?

Here are the details:
1998 BOSTON WHALER DAUNTLESS 13' - fish finder, CD, VHF, pro 50hp Yamaha w/gauges, electric tilt/trim, bilge, cover, very clean, new galvanized trailer, $9800

Does the asking price seem OK, assuming everything is in good condition ?

Thanks in advance
