Topic:   Rage 175 - Top speed tips

posted 03-26-2005 11:02 PM ET (US)         I can regularly get 50-53mph in my mostly stock Rage 175 (at approx. 5200 rpm) , but was wondering what has been successful for others in getting a bit more speed out of theirs, without major mods. Not that 50mph is not fast enough (especially in a 15' Whaler), but more of a curiosity and something to think about and experiment with before boating season begins. Timing? Trim? Jet adjustments? Hull finish? Any experiences you can share would be helpful. I've had this boat over a year now and have loved every second of it. Thanks for your thoughts!
