Forum Members,

I would like to fit my 1995 15' Dauntless (with a '96 70 hp Evinrude currently wired w/o OMC System Check; currently using the "horn" system via the keyswitch) with Teleflex Lido Pro gauges (or possibly the newer OMC gauges in either black or white face) and take out the original black bezel'd OMC gauges. Reason being that my tachometer took a "$%^&" on me at the end of the last season.
Note: I really like the Lido style gauge.

1) Are there any issues which I have to address or be aware of?

2) Anyone have experience with the grey, liquid crystal hourmeter built into the tachometer?

3) What about the pulse rate for the tachometer? Is this something which needs to be calibrated or do they come as universal?

4) I have my eye on a set on ebay and would like to go ahead and purchase what I need. If I go with the Teleflex Lido set, do I need to specify for Evinrude for all the guages or just the tilt/trim?

Thanks for your input.

Bob

Please note, there are Teleflex Lido and Lido-Pro gauges. They look identical but Lido-Pro only "Fog-Free".
Lido-Pro part numbers end with "F", Lido PNs end with a digit or "P".
Example:

Lido-Pro:
Tach/Hour, Elect,Outboard & 4-Cycle Gas P/N 59651F

Lido:
Tach/Hour, Elect,Outboard & 4-Cycle Gas P/N 59651

Lido will fog, Lido-Pro may not.

Good luck.
