I spent the weekend at a Boston Whaler sponsered party on the Chesapeake Bay. I talked to a lot of Whaler people from the President, two dealers, engineers, design group and marketing. When during a discussion I had commended on people like Warren (WT) who take their 170 Montauks way off shore and a under floor tank with a decent capacity would be very well received, I got back a big smile , a wink and this, "Since we figured out how to do the tank in the 190 Montauk we can do it in the 170 , plus also a live well". That's all I got, but he made it sound like it's coming out!.......Jack

WOW!!!

Great news. Wouldn't it be great if they could also figure out a way to run a trolling motor rigging/tube to the bow?

And maybe some rod storage? Livewell?

Next thing you know, the Whaler will start looking like a GW or Mako.

I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Marsh, there would be a livewell, sort of like the new 190 Monatuk, that is how they get the fuel fill to fit, it is in the live well wall not the gunnel, I can pass on the rigging tube idea to somebody if you want.....Jack
