I saw this on Boat Trader Online this morning.

Jim, I hope you don't mind me posting it here, and not in the Whaler Marketplace area.

I wanted to post here in the Post-Classic Whalers area due the the pretty good photos of this new model in the add.

This boat, like it's big brother the 220, looks like a great, very low freeboard, bay fishing setup.

That is a great looking boat. I am shocked that these boats are on the street, but Whaler has yet to put them on their website. Talk about a marketing blunder. I'm also surprised to see this one sitting on a wobble roller trailer. I thought that was still a no-no.

I know the dealership where that boat is listed, and if it's still on the lot when I get out that way next month, I'll try to snap a few more photos. Does anyone know what the MSRP for this boat is?

I called the dealership that is advertising that boat. The price of the boat without the trailer is $50,000.

That's not too bad, when you consider that there are many Verado equipped Dauntless 220s out there that have an MSRP of around $75,000.

Poling platform? You'd better bring your gorilla with you to pole that baby around the "flats".

Your right.... that poling platform is about the craziest thing I have seen. If its something BW adds on, they must be way too busy to have EVER gone fishing.

I don't know if it's me but I think that this Whaler looks cheaper than ever. The new console and the leaning post remind more Bayliner boats than a true bad ass Whaler...

I prefer the 180 Dauntless, am I the only one ?

Just took a look on the Whaler web site. The boat looks better there. I have to finally say that the 200 is a nice boat.

Sorry about that.

I agree. Not many 20 foot bay boats offer a freshwater shower, not to mention a ski pylon/wakeboard tower and foldaway rear seat. Looks like the packed a lot of family friendly features into a capable fishing boat. BillS

And it has more freeboard than a Montauck 170 or 190 so what makes it a bay boat.
