I recently purchased a new 170 Montauk and the trailer is made by Karavan Trailers. It has the bunk setup which I am sure you know is recommended for Whalers. You can Google their website and call them directly. I recently had a question about my trailer and the President actually called me back.

Good luck!

Steve,

You can try your local Whaler Dealer. Often boats are sold without a trailer, even though the factory includes one.

I originally traded my trailer for bottom paint and installation of some equipment, because I didn't really want it. (the boat is kept in the water) Last month I decided I needed a trailer for travel and maintainence, and went back to the dealer. It took 1 week for someone to buy a new 150 and exchange their trailer for bottom paint. They sold 4 loose trailers the week before I called.

I believe the Karavan trailer is the same for the 150 and 170 models. Nice trailer, sturdy and well made specifically for the boat.

Ask the sales rep or factory for the one suited for your Whaler factory one looks good and I get my new Whaler today on a Karavan. has swing away nose which I like also.

Thanks for the responses.
Any ballpark idea of cost for a factory (Karavan) trailer?

Thanks All.

my 19 Montuak may be the same trailer and it was 1200 option. It seems to be a nice rig. Strong but light and well finished for salt water.
